Day 36 Pembroke Dock to Angle (17.4 miles, cumulative 597.7)

For the first time, I had some of my luggage collected after breakfast. Steph, my host for this evening, was shopping in Pembroke so had offered to transport it.

Much of today's walk was not along the coast, but through woodland. Much of it involved industrial operations - gas pipelines, an oil refinery, and a power station. Eventually, the route joined a path which hugged Angle Bay, leading to the pretty village of Angle, my home for the night.

Steph was in my class at primary school and, following a recent reunion to commemorate 50 years since we had left, a sizeable number of the original class are now in contact. My walk to Angle coincided with Steph being there, so she kindly offered to accommodate me, as well as providing a valued luggage delivery service.

Before dinner I headed into the village to take some photos. Who did I bump into outside the pub? Steve, my walking companion from yesterday, who was staying at the nearby campsite. It was a relief to find out that he'd made it here safely.
