Day 33 St David's to Broad Haven (17.1 miles, cumulative 540.3)

I left sleepy St David's and returned to the coast path. It's easy to become complacent about the constantly stunning scenery, so I keep stopping to breathe it in. As I gained height, distant St David's glowed in the morning sun. A long descent led to the picturesque harbour-side village of Solva, where I treated myself to an iced coke at one its several inns.
There were many ups and downs to negotiate in the heat today, with several descents to sea level, including Newgale and Nolton Haven. One large section of the path had suffered from extensive wildfires, with the heather reduced to charcoal stumps. I encountered more walkers on the path than on any previous day - it's clearly a popular area.
I descended to the seaside village of Broad Haven and was delighted to discover that my guest house is not only right next to the beach, but it also boasts an Italian restaurant.
