Day 19 Criccieth to Harlech (18.1 miles, cumulative 325.5)
Today I was joined by my neighbour and regular walking partner, Mark, and his son Ed. We drove to Harlech, then caught the train back to Criccieth.
The route initially followed the coast, then cut inland along country lanes, before returning to the coast at Black Rock sands. After a lengthy section on the beach, we reached Borth y Gest, then followed some shaded footpaths to Porthmadog. Here we headed along the Cob, parallel to the Festiniog narrow gauge steam railway, before crossing the road bridge to the final section, a delightful stroll along the estuary, then over fields via Ynys and back to Harlech.
