Day 6 Beaumaris to Moelfre (19.2 miles, cumulative 110.0)

I didn't enjoy the first section of today's walk, a long drag over shingle, which slows progress. It was cloudy at first, but the sun broke through before long.
Then a mishap. CRUK had asked me to record a short video, so I selected my spot on a tiny beach and set up my rucksack in the shot. Just as I was about to start, a couple appeared. We chatted and they made a donation, then I filmed my video. Unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that the tide was coming in, so the bottom half of the rucksack and its contents were soaked!
Heading towards Trywn Du, a point overlooking Puffin Island, a car passed me, stopped and reversed towards me. An invitation followed for refreshments with Rob and his mum at their nearby holiday cottage!
The rest of the walk to Moelfre was a delight, crossing fields and narrow wooded pathways, then cutting across the massive Red Wharf Bay, before following a cliff hugging path to Moelfre, from where I caught a bus to Amlwch, my home for the night. After the morning mishap, my room resembles a drying room.
